2011 Vizcarra Senda del Oro Roble

image

Not a whole lot of fruit has developed yet in this spicy offering from Ribera Del Duero. Fierce tannins and a great acidity dominate the palate as it screams for more fruit.  Very stiff with medium spice box and earth aromas.  This wine definitely  needs at least 5 more years to mature to its full potential.  When it does, you’re in for a treat.  Enjoy with spicy Moroccan dishes or a nice cut of roast beef.
